Our Babies...

I thought that I would introduce "our babies!" Since Andy and I don't have any children and all you see in the blogging world is kids, I thought we should show you our kiddos! Introducing Laney and Nelly!!!
This is Laney, she is a 7 year old Chocolate Lab and queen of the house. Yes, she trumps me...troubling I know. She has her own room and sleeps on a queen size bed; the perfect size for the queen of the house. She loves to run, swim and dive for rocks. Her favorite place on earth is the lake (she gets that from her parents!) She is the protector of the house from raccoons, opossums, and crows but does not seem to mind car thieves... She is a wonderful dog and we love her very much.

This little princess is Nelly. I found her on the side of the road 3 years ago in November. She is a Miniature Spotted Boxer and totally cute. She currently resides with my mother until we can get the two of them to get along (it will happen this summer!) She loves to play and run and bark at anything. She does not like water, but loves to take walks! She is the cutest dog and loves all things pink (well not really but her mother loves to dress her in pink!) We can't wait for her to join her family in our new home really soon!!!

So these are our babies! They are the most wonderful pets in the world and Andy and I are so very lucky!!!!

missing St. John...

I am sitting at my desk wishing that I was back at St. John (the most beautiful island IN THE WORLD!). Reall,y I might just make do with anywhere where I did not have to stair endlessly at my computer and work... The days are running together here at work, and Friday can't come any faster.

I can't wait for the day when Andy and I go back here...

It really is the most beautiful place on earth...

What happens when a crack-head steals your car...

I am sure that you all remember this beautiful car that I have had for the past few years. Well, this was the car that I had until a crack-head got a hold of it. Whoever this crazy, drugged up person is he stole my car from my driveway. Andy woke me up a few weeks ago asking me where my car was. My response was, "In the driveway?!" He said, "it is not in the driveway." Thus starting the saga that has engulfed our lives for the past few weeks. We thought that the car was long gone and so did our insurance agency (thank goodness) so we found a new car to buy (yeah). Well when we were out of town last weekend it turns out that my precious little Honda was found. Well, sort of... it turns out that the guy driving it was disturbing the peace and when the police tried to pull him over he tried to run THEM over. Yes, I said it run the police over. After a bit of a chase that involved an attempt and success at jumping the curb and smashing into a parked car the police officer had the guy pinned in with his car. Did this deter the thief? Nope he jumped to the passenger side door and ran away. Did they catch him? Nope, he is gone and the crack-head part comes from the cocaine that they found inside the car. Lovely! So I got a phone call that they found the car and went to go see it. It was smashed to pieces. I would have pictures, but before I could get over to take some the insurance company took it since the week before they purchase it from me. Lucky timing I guess. So you ask, what happens when a crack-head steals your car...

You get this...

Blog world here I come!

So I finally decided to jump into the world of blogging after I have stalked many other blogs. I promise to try my best to update frequently because I too hate an unfaithful blogger. I hope that you enjoy all of the adventures that our family gets in to as there is usually something going on in the Broome Family world! I hope to update later with the story of the '02 Honda that just came back into our life, after a brief period away...the saga continues...
